Soo I’m sick, and I hate it… It seems like everyone one on campus is sick, so of course that means I had to catch it as well. I was suppose to be in New Jersey right now for a conference for NRHH (National Residential Hall Honorary) but I knew I would never last the whole weekend up there will being sick without being completely miserable and making everyone else miserable, or sick, or even worse (both miserable AND sick). So I decided to stay home, and in between waking up, guzzling down fluids, and a quick trip to the Spot (our little convenience store on campus that sells food), I managed to sleep for 24 hours… That’s right, from noon yesterday until noon today all I did was sleep and drink and blow my nose. When I woke up this morning, I thought I felt a lot better and was really excited because that meant I could get some work done and go to the basketball game tonight. Then I stood up out of bed and realized what had happened was all the congestion had drained into my sinuses… So needless to say once I got up I nearly fell back down from being dizzy. I realized though that I was out of tissues, out of soup, and really just low on a lot of my sick-supplies, so, with my sinuses still very full, I drove to Giant, picked up my supplies, then drove back here. I don’t recommend it…I backed my car into a parking spot and did a fantastic job, but I had no inhibitions about it because of the sinus pressure, so I just backed up as fast as I could… Everything ended up fine, but it could have been a LOT worse… Now, restocked, I am hopefully ready to battle off the rest of this thing so I can do Biochemistry homework (ick!) and catch the men’s Retriever game tonight!
