Back! But “stabbed” in the back too

So I’m back, blogging again about my fun adventures at UMBC!  So to start out this week, now that school has fully gotten back into the swing of things, I thought I’d join the game “Assassins” at UMBC.  This is set up by UMBC students, and the object of the game is to “kill” your designated target for the week.  Each person is given one of the other players’ names and their picture, and it then becomes your job to hunt them down and “attack” them with the weapon of the week.  Today was the official starting day and the weapon of the week was an old sock.  So I wake up this morning, put a sock in my pocket, and head out, looking for my target as I walk to class.  My target was actually one of the few people playing that I didn’t know, so I thought the game might give me a chance to meet some new people and have fun at the same time…WRONG!

Now let me preface by saying I know that when I joined this game, I wouldn’t last long.  I know a lot of people know me on campus and that I walk around a lot doing errands and such during the day, so I was pretty sure I wouldn’t make it past the first few week.  Little did I know I wouldn’t make it past the first few hours…I woke up this morning at 9am and was assassinated at around 11am…2 HOURS INTO THE GAME!  I guess that’s my luck.  And of course it just so happens that someone I knew ended up with my name, so they saw me walking from class, took a sock, and jammed it to my back…That’s right, I was back-socked.  2 HOURS!  Oh well.  I suppose at least now I don’t have the paranoia of walking around thinking some of my friends might “assassinate” me…
