Life in the Fast Lane

So it’s my senior year at UMBC, and everything is moving so fast…WAY too fast.  I’m in the middle of midterms and it still feels like it was summer break only yesterday.  Between juggling 20 credits, being a Resident Assistant in one of the Residential Halls, working as the National Residential Hall Honorary President, getting prepared for post UMBC, and trying to have a social life, I have a about enough time to maybe take a few breathes.  The worst part is that everything in the immediate future always seems to take higher priority for me and gets done first, which means applying to graduate schools is pretty much out of the picture right now.

So for those of you that have been following my life in this blog (which I’d be surprised if anyone really wanted to do that, haha) you’d know that I was Pre-Medicine.  Well, turns out that medical school isn’t for me, and I’ve actually decided to pursue a career in neuropsychology, which means I need to go to graduate school.  It took me a while to decide, but I really think it’s the right choice for me, blending science and psychology in a ratio that suites my skills and my wants.  So now I am looking for Ph.D. programs for clinical psychology with a focus in neuropsychology and I’ve come across five schools.  Now I need to actually find time to apply to them, take time to take all of the necessary tests (GRE general and subject tests) and make time to come up with a backup plan and prepare for that.

In other words, if anyone has some spare time they’d like to just give me so I can use to figure out my life after UMBC, let me know!  I could use it…
